The exceptional Leipzig Quartet has joined the
Melvin Kaplan, Inc. roster as of the 2009-2010 season.
We are pleased to include this group in our management and
look forward to working with them for many season to come.

YING QUARTET RECEIVES GRAMMY NOMINATION

The Ying Quartet has received its third Grammy Nomination for its
2007 Telarc release of Tchaikovsky String Quartets.

The Grammys will be held on February 10, 2008

PACIFICA QUARTET RELEASES CARTER CD

While continuing their Beethoven cycles in Chicago and New York during 2008, the Pacifica Quartet will perform Elliott Carter's quartets in many special celebrations of the composer's 100th birthday during 2008 and 2009.

On January 27, 2008 the Pacifica took part in a Carter cycle presented by Cité de la Music in Paris, and in New York performed the complete Carter cycle on January 30 as part of a centennial celebration presented by the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. A Carter cycle is also planned in Houston April 13-15.

The New York cycle occured in the same week as the release of the first of two discs of Carter's quartets on the Naxos label.
