For nearly fifty years, Melvin Kaplan, Inc. has been recognized in the classical music world for our roster of outstanding chamber music ensembles and soloists. In recent years our roster has grown to include larger attractions, this year including the incomparable Salzburg Marionette Theater and the remarkable Israel Chamber Orchestra.
Our mixed ensembles, string quartets, and soloists range from the youthful and exciting to the legendary. All continue to offer extraordinary interpretations of classic repertoire as well as imaginative new commissions and collaborations.
The 2007-2008 season offers many special programs to suit all musical tastes, from the Pacifica Quartet’s “Two Titans” program featuring quartets by Ludvig von Beethoven and Elliot Carter to the Ying Quartet’s collaborations with folk musician Mike Seeger and electronic wizard Tod Machover.
